    OUR SERVICES
The Iranian Cancer Support Group offers support and information for people living with ‎cancer, their caregivers, family and friends within the Iranian community. If you or ‎someone you care about has been diagnosed with cancer, you probably have many ‎questions and concerns. We're committed to responding to your needs, whether you're ‎living with cancer yourself or your life has been touched in some other way by this ‎illness. ‎

    Informational Services
The Iranian Cancer Support Group offers comprehensive and credible information about ‎cancer.‎
    • ‎We present seasonal seminars and monthly workshops to raise public awareness ‎and educate the Iranian community about cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment ‎and available resources. ‎
    • ‎With collaboration of Canadian Cancer Society, a team of our dedicated volunteers ‎are translating Canadian Cancer Society brochures to be distributed in the major ‎hospitals and Iranian medical centers across the GTA. ‎
    • ‎Our team of volunteers works very hard to provide the Iranian community with ‎brochures, pamphlets and information packages containing: ‎
      1. List of all cancer support organizations across GTA ‎
      2. Information about various types of cancers. ‎
    • ‎Through the cooperation of Radio Sedayeh Iran and the support of Canadian Cancer ‎Society, we are hosting several health and wellness radio shows with the help of our ‎expert panelists. ‎

    Support Programs
We offer our support programs with the help of two different groups of providers:‎
    • ‎Our trained and professional volunteers, who offer emotional and psychological ‎support through writing, drawing, and craft classes or group support sessions. ‎
    • ‎Our cancer survivor volunteers, who share their own cancer experience by offering ‎emotional support, encouragement, compassion and helpful information. Speaking ‎with a cancer survivor can be both comforting and insightful. ‎

Our support programs are offered to the following groups:‎
    1. ‎individuals diagnosed with cancer ‎
    2. Family and friends and caregivers of cancer patients ‎
    3. Children and youth 4-18 years old whose families are touched by cancer ‎
    4. Individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one. ‎

Support at Cancer Centers and Hospitals
Our volunteers provide practical support by being available during chemotherapy ‎treatments and provide religious support in the hospitals. ‎

    Care
So far we have two types of classes for cancer patients:‎
    1. ‎Weekly post surgery exercise classes and Yoga under the supervision of a trained ‎specialist. ‎
    2. Weekly meditation classes ‎

New services are available upon request and enrollment. ‎
